But Leigha Marina is about more than just selling colorful and original illustrated cards. Our founder and CEO, Dalibor Menicanin, knows firsthand what it means to grow up as a child of a single parent and also what it takes to be a single parent of a little baby girl. Our history

The idea for Leigha Marina started in a small office in October 2016. Our founder, Dalibor, was working full-time, while at the same time taking care of his beloved baby daughter — not an easy task, considering the attention and care needed by a small child. While running a small business on his own and being a single parent full-time, Dalibor managed to find time to improve himself as a father. Every time his daughter was asleep, he researched, read, and educated himself on every single topic a single parent needs to know about. How to tell if my child is ill? What do I feed my child? How much sleep should my child have? – And when? After countless hours of research on child care, child safety, and children's health, the idea for Leigha Marina struck him. All that knowledge should be passed on to other parents. All this work could benefit countless other new parents and especially single parents with limited time on their hands.

Less than a year after launching our site, we've decided to bring some of our illustrations to life by starting a cartoon nursery rhymes YouTube channel. Today, Leigha Marina produces enjoyable and informative content for children, including music and animated nursery rhymes. The content features original music and cartoon animations starring cute little penguins. Carefully designed with our young audience in mind, we create lyrics and animations that are kid-friendly and appropriate for all ages. We're dedicated to producing engaging and educational content that children will enjoy. Our main objective is to combine music and animation, creating a delightful and unforgettable experience for kids. Our music and videos are on various streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music, and VEVO.

Leigha Marina is named in honor of Dalibor’s daughter who started it all. All the efforts to give Leigha Marina a good and safe childhood could benefit so many more children and parents. From the free children’s health and safety articles we give away, to the fun and creative invitation cards in our web shop, we are all about encouraging young and single parents to keep moving forward and be the best parents they can possibly be. That is why we offer clothing for both children and their parents with empowering statements, to lighten up your day in between worries about your child’s safety at the playground and diaper changes. We employ a team of professional graphic designers, writers, musicians, animators, and bloggers to create fun and colorful illustrated cards, nursery rhymes, t-shirts, and children’s clothes for you to purchase. Our founder Dalibor alone has more than a decade of experience as a graphic designer. But we also want to pass on our knowledge of raising children and being a single parent to other parents out there. That is why we make a range of resources available for free to parents who struggle with raising a child along with having a full-time job. We offer resources ranging from free coloring pages to a children’s health blog, all made possible by the money we raise from our web shop. We want to empower young parents, to encourage single parents, and to help relieve those that struggle managing work with raising children. When having to deal with those tasks, there’s no time to search for trustworthy information about child safety or children's health. Meet our team

Meet Bebo, our logo. Bebo is Leigha's baby nickname, given to her by her dad. It means baby. Bebo was designed to represent Leigha as a baby, and the hair sticking up in the air represents the hairstyle that Leigha had naturally for the first year of her life. The main difference is that Bebo has blue eyes, while Leigha's eyes are brown.

Meet Princess Leigha. This version of Leigha was designed to represent a bit older version of Leigha. As a toddler, Leigha loved to dress up and show her girly side from an early age, so we have put together a few illustrations to reflect her personality. In this version, we have designed her eyes in brown to reflect her actual eye color.
