🎵 Song Lyrics

Bob the little cricket
Tired of singing alone
Went on an expedition
To find his band fellows

Jumping into the woods

Looking for someone new

And suddenly
After lots of jumps

Behind a log
He found a worm
Playing the xylophone

Join me join me
Join me friend
Let's play music
Together

Sure I'd love to

Jumping into the woods
Looking for someone new

Then on a leaf
They found a bee
Playing the violin

Join us join us
Join us friend
Let's play music
Together

That sounds cool

Jumping into the woods
Looking for someone new

And on the ground
They found an ant
Playing a funky drum

Join us join us
Join us friend
Let's play music
Together

Oh ah ah sure yes

Suddenly they heard maracas playing
Chucu chucu chaca baby

A butterfly
Who was so shy
Wanted to join the band

I've been following you secretly
But I think I'm not good enough to be in the band

Oh my friend that's not even possible
Cause music always feels great to play
Love and practice will make us an amazing band
And a beautiful group of friends

Join us join us
Join us friend
Let's play music
Together

So bob the bee the ant the worm
And also the butterfly
Formed together the best band
They could've ever had

About This Song

The red curtains open on a theater stage, and the whole family is in the audience. Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa Penguin sit in the front row with Mrs. Glacier and a polar bear friend. On stage, the five little penguins are dressed as bugs to act out the story of Bob the little cricket.

Bebo plays Bob in a green cricket suit. Tired of singing alone, he hops across the stage looking for friends who want to make music. First he meets Makaio, dressed as a worm and playing the xylophone. Next comes Nora, a striped bumblebee with a violin, standing on a big leaf with wheels. Then Okee joins as a red ant on the drums, still wearing his bow tie. Each friend hears the same invitation to play music together, and each one says yes.

Mia is the last to join. She is a shy butterfly with pink wings and maracas who has been following the band in secret, but she worries she is not good enough. Her friends tell her that music always feels great to play, and that love and practice will make them a great band. In the end, all five play together while their family watches the show.

Bob also stars in Bob the Little Cricket, an earlier song about finding the courage to sing out loud.
