About This Song

Hoot a Song Nightly Owl Lullaby is a soft bedtime song about resting to the sound of an owl’s gentle hoot. Bebo the penguin sleeps inside a wooden cabin in the snowy forest. Outside, an owl sits on a pine tree branch near the house. A crescent moon and stars shine above the trees, while warm light comes through the cabin’s round windows.

Bebo rests with his head on a pillow and a blue blanket covered in stars pulled over him. The owl flies closer to his bedroom window and looks inside. Its repeated hoo sounds fill the quiet night, matching the words that ask it to sing and let Bebo know the day is over.

Bebo wakes, gets out of bed, and walks over to the window. He sees his owl friend waiting just outside, with snow along the wooden window frame. They look at each other from opposite sides of the glass. The owl’s song offers comfort as the words welcome the moonlight and stars and ask for a calm mind and a peaceful heart.

The owl flies away from the window and returns to a snowy branch beside the cabin. Its gentle hooting continues among the pine trees. Inside, Bebo has his warm bed and soft lamplight, while his owl friend stays nearby in the quiet forest.
