🎵 Song Lyrics

Once upon a time there was a little girl walking alone in the woods
She learned an important lesson that day
If you’re all alone it’s not a good idea to talk to strangers

Little red put on her hood
Skipped through the deep dark wood
Basket full of treats to share
Grandma’s house was waiting there

Oh no no who did she see
A big bad wolf behind a tree
Where are you going the wolf did say
To grandma’s house not far away

The wolf ran fast he had a plan
To grandma’s house he quickly ran
He put on glasses dressed in lace
Sat in grandma’s favorite place

Oh no no what did she see
A big bad wolf but wait so sweet
Grandma grandma that’s not your face
Those big sharp teeth they give you away

Then came a knock a helper near
A woodsman brave who had no fear
The wolf ran off away so fast
And red hugged grandma tight at last
Hooray hooray red saved the day
Grandma’s safe hip hip hooray
Back to home with joy and cheer
Now i won’t talk to strangers if you aren’t near

Red learned something through that danger
If you're alone don’t talk to a stranger
They might not be your friend
So don’t forget and that’s the end

The end

About This Song

Nora plays Little Red Riding Hood, carrying a basket of treats through snowy woods to Grandma’s house. When a wolf asks where she is going, she tells him. He races ahead and disguises himself in Grandma’s clothes and glasses.

The song gives Nora a moment to notice that something is wrong. The face does not look like Grandma’s, and the big teeth reveal who is really waiting for her. Bebo arrives dressed as the woodsman, the wolf runs away, and Nora gets to hug Grandma.

Little Red Riding Hood Learns a Lesson ends with a safe reunion rather than a fight. The repeated “Oh no no”
follows each new thing Nora notices, while “Hooray hooray” marks the moment the danger is over.

Talking About Nora’s Story

After listening, ask your child what Nora noticed about the wolf’s disguise and who arrived to help. You can also ask what she plans to do differently next time.

Keep the conversation focused on the choices in the story. Nora shares where she is going, figures out the wolf's trick, and learns to be more careful when she is alone.
