🎵 Song Lyrics

Monster monster go away
Your house's not this so go away
Monster monster go away
You are not my friend you cannot stay

In the closet he likes to be
Making strange noises that really scare me

He likes to hide under my bed
And touch my feet when i'm asleep

Monster monster go away
Your house's not this so go away
Monster monster go away
You are not my friend you cannot stay

Behind the curtains he hides from me
But i can see his hairy feet

Inside the toy chest he likes to be
Making strange noises that really scare me

Monster monster go away
Your house's not this so go away
Monster monster go away
You are not my friend you cannot stay

But if you're missing someone to play
Jump the rope or any card game
Monsters are known for being great playmates

Monster monster stay today
I want to play i invite you to stay
Monster monster stay today
Would you like to be my friend

About This Song

Monster Go Away is a fun and upbeat song about Bebo the penguin, who is scared of a monster hiding in his bedroom at night. Bebo lies in bed with his starry blanket pulled up high, wide awake. A big dark shadow with horns moves across the wall, and Bebo hides under his blanket.

Bebo tells the monster to go away, because this is not his house and he cannot stay. The monster likes to hide in the closet, making strange noises that scare Bebo. He hides under the bed and touches Bebo's feet when he is asleep. Behind the curtains, Bebo can see the monster's hairy feet.

Then the toy chest creaks open, and out peeks a little monster with curly horns and big yellow eyes. He looks friendly and not so scary after all.

Bebo climbs out of bed and stands face to face with the monster. Maybe this monster is just missing someone to play with. Monsters are great playmates for jumping rope or playing card games. So Bebo invites the monster to stay and be his friend. The lights come on, and the two new friends sit on the floor together, playing with a big pile of toys.
