One, Two, and Then Three by Leigha Marina is a fun counting song with Bebo, Nora, Mia, Okee, and Makaio. The five penguins sing and dance in the snow as they count from one to ten. Children can join in by using a robot voice, whispering, singing like a giant, and filling in the missing numbers. With easy words and a fast beat, the song makes counting practice part of playtime.

🎵 Song Lyrics

Pa pa parapapara papa
Pa pa parapapara papa
Pa pa parapapara papa
Pa pa pa pa pa

One two and then three
Four five and then six
Seven eight then nine
And ten is our last

One two and then three
Four five and then six
Seven eight then nine
And ten is our last

Pa pa parapapara papa
Pa pa parapapara papa
Pa pa parapapara papa
Pa pa pa pa pa
Attention

One two and then
Four five and then
Seven eight then
And ten is our last

One two and then
Four five and then
Seven eight then
And ten is our last

Pa pa parapapara papa
Pa pa parapapara papa
Pa pa parapapara papa
Like a robot now

One two and then three
Four five and then six

Whisper
Seven eight then
And ten is our last
Like a giant

One two and then three
Four five and then six
Nice

Seven eight then nine
And ten is our last

Pa pa parapapara papa
Pa pa parapapara papa
Pa pa parapapara papa
Pa pa pa pa pa

One two and then three
Four five and then six
Seven eight then nine
And ten is our last

One two and then
Four five and then
Seven eight then
And ten is our last

Pa pa parapapara papa
Pa pa parapapara papa
Pa pa parapapara papa
Pa pa pa pa pa

About This Song

Bebo, Nora, Mia, Okee, and Makaio count and dance together in the snow. Numbers appear on signs and above the igloos as the song races from one to ten, then starts again.

One, Two, and Then Three keeps changing the game. Some verses include every number, while others leave out three, six, and nine for listeners to fill in. A robot voice, a whisper, and a giant voice give the same counting pattern a different sound each time.

Between the verses, the “pa pa parapapara” refrain keeps the music moving. This is a fast counting song with plenty of words, made for joining the fun rather than taking each number slowly.

A Counting Dance Game

Dance during the refrain, then count along when the numbers return. Listen for the gaps and try calling out the missing numbers without stopping the beat.

For a party game, take turns choosing a robot, whisper, or giant voice before the next counting verse. Children can join with movement, numbers, or just the refrain. There is no need to catch every word to be part of the penguin dance.
