Sleepy River Lullaby by Leigha Marina is a peaceful bedtime song about a quiet trip down a river at night. Bebo the penguin sleeps in a paper boat as it floats past trees, fields, mountains and hills, where deer, rabbits, owls and bears are settling down to rest. Glowing fireflies, twinkling stars and the soft sound of flowing water help little ones relax and drift off to sleep.

🎵 Song Lyrics

As you slowly go to sleep
Dream of riding down the stream
Listen to the water flow
Down the sleepy river we will go

Past the trees and fields of green
Where the deer and rabbits sleep
Fireflies on the riverside
Lighting up the dark night

As you slowly go to sleep
Dream of riding down the stream
Listen to the water flow
Down the sleepy river we will go

Past the mountains and the hills
Where the night sky is so still
Owl hoot in the trees
Mother bears bring their cubs to sleep

As you slowly go to sleep
Dream of riding down the stream
Listen to the water flow
Down the sleepy river we will go

About This Song

Sleepy River Lullaby is a calm bedtime song about a quiet trip down a river at night. Bebo the penguin is fast asleep in a paper boat as it floats along the water under a sky full of stars. Big green leaves hang over the river, and fireflies glow softly all around him.

The boat drifts past rocks and tall grass, then past trees and green fields where deer and rabbits are sleeping for the night. The water moves slowly and gently carries Bebo along.

Farther down the river, the boat passes mountains and hills under a still night sky. Owls hoot from the trees, and mother bears bring their cubs in to sleep.

The river carries Bebo out to open water near tall icebergs. Green and purple northern lights fill the sky and shine on the water around him, while Bebo stays curled up in his paper boat, sleeping peacefully.
