About This Song

Take Care of Earth is a happy, upbeat song about keeping our home clean and caring for nature. In a snowy village beside a river, Bebo the penguin sees the other little penguins heading outside with snacks and drinks. Okee carries a green bag of chips, while Makaio, Nora, and Mia walk through the village near a stone bridge.

Bebo notices food scraps and empty packages left on the snow. He looks down at the mess beside the river, then gets two bins ready for cleaning up. One is yellow with a recycling sign, and the other is green with pictures of food scraps. Bebo picks up the pieces of food, the empty snack bag, and a plastic bottle instead of leaving them on the ground.

Nearby, the other little penguins drink from small blue cartons on the bridge. They leave the empty cartons below, adding more trash to the area. Bebo looks upset when he sees them and points out the trash to the other little penguins. The repeated words reduce, reuse, and recycle connect their cleanup with caring for Earth.

The little penguins gather around Bebo and the bins. They collect the empty cartons and put them in the yellow bin, while the food scraps go into the green one. Along with the cleanup, the lyrics call for keeping beaches clean, growing food from seeds, planting more trees, and protecting the air and sea.
