🎵 Song Lyrics

Rest your head and drift away
Sleep until the light of day
Everything is safe and right
I will be here by your side

The crickets whisper very low
The moon is rising soft and slow
The world outside is fast asleep
Close your eyes and rest so deep

Rest your head and drift away
Sleep until the light of day
Everything is safe and right
I will be here by your side

Listen to this lullaby
Tell everyone goodnight
You will see tomorrow soon
But for now it's time to snooze

Rest your head and drift away
Sleep until the light of day
Everything is safe and right
I will be here by your side

About This Song

By Your Side Lullaby is a soft and gentle bedtime song about resting with someone who loves you close by. Bebo the penguin lies in a wooden bed under a thick blue quilt decorated with stars, clouds, and other shapes. His eyes are closed, and his head rests on a white pillow. A small lamp gives his blue bedroom a warm glow while snow falls beyond the window.

Outside, wooden houses sit among snowy pine trees. Strings of yellow lights shine around the roof and trees near Bebo’s home, and light comes through the windows of the nearby cabins. Inside his room, books, a rocking horse, and letter blocks stay still as he sleeps. The words ask him to rest his head and drift away until morning.

The lullaby brings the quiet world outside into his bedtime with words about crickets whispering, the moon rising, and everyone resting. Each chorus returns to the same loving promise that someone will be there by his side. There is no need for Bebo to do anything now except settle into his pillow and sleep.

Mommy Penguin stands beside the bed and leans close to Bebo. He stays tucked under his quilt, smiling softly with his eyes closed. With Mommy nearby and the lamp still glowing, he rests in his warm room while the snow continues falling outside.
