Go To Sleep Lullaby

Leigha Marina Nursery Rhymes and Kids Songs, Vol. 2 • Track 28 • Album released October 28, 2022

Go To Sleep Lullaby by Leigha Marina is a soft bedtime song about Mommy Penguin singing Bebo the penguin to sleep. In his dream, a little bird wraps Bebo in a blanket and carries him across the sky to a soft cloud. He floats through the night with friendly animals while two little angels watch over him. When Bebo wakes up, Mommy Penguin is right by his bed, just like she promised.

🎵 Song Lyrics

Go to sleep go to sleep
Hush my baby don't weep
In your dreams may you fly
High up into the sky
Come lie down now and rest
And may your sleep be blessed
Come lie down now and rest
And may your sleep be blessed

Lullaby and goodnight
Mommy's little delight
Little angels keep watch
Oh my little butterscotch
When you wake up you'll see
You will be here with me
When you wake up you'll see
You will be still with me

About Go To Sleep Lullaby

Go To Sleep Lullaby is a soft bedtime song about a mother singing her baby to sleep. She asks her little one to lie down and rest, promises that little angels will keep watch through the night, and tells her baby that when morning comes, she will still be right there. That last promise is what makes the song so comforting at bedtime. The words are short and repeat, so it is easy to learn and keep singing softly after the video ends.

Our Little Penguin Version

Leigha Marina's version first came out on YouTube on March 19, 2021, and later became track 28 on Vol. 2. The cartoon opens and closes with Bebo the penguin playing a short tune on his xylophone. Then we see Bebo asleep in his bed as Mommy Penguin walks over and starts to sing to him.

Bebo dreams that a little bird wraps him in a blanket, carries him in its beak across the sky and sets him down on a soft cloud. He floats through the night sky with little birds and other friendly animals flying around him, and two small angels watching over him. Then he is fast asleep on his cloud again. When Bebo wakes up and opens his eyes, Mommy is standing right by his bed, just like the song promised.
