Leigha Marina Nursery Rhymes and Kids Songs, Vol. 2

About This Album

This album is packed with learning songs. Days Of The Week, Seasons Of The Year, Song About Shapes and Counting Numbers 1 To 100 cover the basics preschoolers practice every day, and in Jobs (What Do You Want To Be), the little penguins show Mrs. Glacier their dream jobs, from firefighter and doctor to astronaut and ballerina. In Wake Up It's Time For School, Daddy Penguin tries to get the sleepy little penguins out of bed, and in You Have To Do It The Right Way, Mommy Penguin shows them how to wash up, get dressed and pack a backpack. Going To The Doctor helps kids feel brave as Dr. Penguin checks on Bebo the penguin, Nora and Makaio.

Leigha Marina's penguins also put their own spin on old favorites. In Five Little Ducks, Bebo dresses up as the mommy duck to bring the lost ducklings home. The Muffin Man hands out warm muffins with a lesson in please and thank you, Animal Fair has an elephant sneeze that sends a monkey tumbling, and There Were Five In The Bed and Once I Caught A Fish Alive turn counting into a story. Tiki Taki is a dance where kids shake their hands, their feet and their whole body, and in Peek-A-Boo, a princess finds Daddy Penguin, Mommy Penguin, Bebo, Nora and Mia in their hiding spots.

The six lullabies are slow and gentle. In Go To Sleep Lullaby, Mommy Penguin sings Bebo to sleep, Little Snowflake Lullaby counts ten falling snowflakes with Bebo, Okee and Mia, and Maybe My Baby Wants To Sleep Lullaby drifts through dreams of carousel ponies and cotton candy clouds.
