🎵 Song Lyrics

I surrender to your eyes
They will show me where to watch

I surrender to your laugh
Cause it saves my tears for last

I surrender to your whys
Cause they make my mind grow large

I surrender to your life
Cause it made my compass right

Lovie sweet pea moonbeam my dear
Lovie sweet pea moonbeam my dear

I surrender to your eyes
They will show me where to watch

I surrender to your laugh
Cause it saves my tears for last

I surrender to your whys
Cause they make my mind grow large

I surrender to your life
Cause it made my compass right

Lovie sweet pea moonbeam my dear
Lovie sweet pea moonbeam my dear

About This Song

Inside a wooden cabin in the snowy woods, Mommy Penguin rocks Bebo and tucks him into bed. Beyond the window, the moon and stars shine over a cold winter night. The story stays close to that small, warm moment between mother and baby.

I Surrender to Your Eyes Lullaby is about the ways a child changes a parent’s world. Eyes draw attention to things worth noticing. Laughter brings comfort. Questions open up new thoughts, and a child’s life gives a parent a new sense of direction.

The repeated words “Lovie sweet pea moonbeam my dear” bring those ideas back to a simple expression of love. Alongside the cabin scene, they make this lullaby as much about the parent’s feelings as the baby’s bedtime.

A Moment to Feel Close

Listen while holding your little one or sitting beside their bed. You can softly repeat the affectionate names in the refrain, or use a special name you already share.

For a child who enjoys talking before bed, name one thing they helped you notice that day. Keep it small and personal, like something funny they spotted or a question that made you think.
