Leigha Marina Nursery Rhymes and Kids Songs, Vol. 18

About This Album

Many of these songs are games in disguise. In Penguin Says, Bebo wears a crown in an ice castle and tries to trick his friends into moving when the directions do not start with Penguin says. The Bubble Gum Song turns a pink bubble contest into a silly sound game, with a sneeze at the very end that nobody sees coming. Let's Fly A Rocket counts down three times, first to the Moon where the penguins bounce and float, then to Mars, and then toward the Sun, the one place they can only admire from far away.

The album moves between summer and snow. I'm A Busy Bumblebee follows the bees from flower to flower on a warm day as they collect nectar and pollen for the queen and colony. Let's Build A Log Cabin goes to a snowy mountain village, where five little penguins raise four walls, add a roof and a chimney, and pick paint colors for their new home.

Both lullabies are quiet moments between Bebo and Mommy Penguin. In Trouble Sleeping Tonight Lullaby, Bebo cannot fall asleep, so he hopes to dream about a big bowl of ice cream. I Surrender to Your Eyes Lullaby is about how a child changes a parent's world, as Mommy rocks Bebo in a log cabin under the moon and stars.
