🎵 Song Lyrics

Oh mommy
Look at all those kids with all their pets
So happy and we don't have any
Can we

I want to have a pet
A really special friend
To love and care
My furry friend
I want to have a pet

Mmm ok kids let me see
So which pet should we adopt

Oh we could have a dog
A puppy puppy dog
A wiggly tail a ball to play
Oh he could be our pet

Or we could have a cat
A kitty kitty cat
Who naps and meows
Who purrs and rubs
Oh our pet could be a cat

Oh no
Maybe we could have a rabbit
A bunny bunny rabbit
A pom pom tail
Who hops all day
Oh he could be our pet

Or we could have fish
A fishy fishy fish
A waving fin
A pool to swim
Oh she could be our pet

Awww kids
And what about this little one
But she's not a puppy
She's not a bunny
She's not a fishy
She's not a kitty
So who is she

Is she furry
Yes
Is she little
Yes
Is she fluffy
Yay
Is she cute
Yes

Oh she could be our pet
A squeaky squeaky friend
Who runs and kiss
A hamster she is
Our new adopted pet

Awwwww already we love you

About This Song

I Want To Have a Pet is a fun and upbeat song about the little penguins and Mommy Penguin choosing a new pet to adopt. Bebo the penguin sees lots of kids with their pets, and they all look so happy. Bebo and the little penguins do not have a pet, so they ask Mommy Penguin if they can have one. They want a really special friend to love and care for.

Mommy Penguin takes them to the pet store. Inside, Okee chases after a little puppy with a wiggly tail who loves to play with a ball. Makaio looks at a goldfish swimming in a round fish bowl. Bebo, Nora and Mia stand together and look around the store.

Nora meets a gray kitty cat who naps, meows, purrs and rubs. Then Mia, Bebo and Nora meet a bunny rabbit with a pom pom tail who hops all day. Bebo looks at the fish again, waving its fin as it swims in its bowl.

Then Mommy Penguin shows them a little one who is not a puppy, a kitty, a bunny or a fish. She is furry, little, fluffy and cute. She is a hamster. The little penguins adopt her right away, and back at home Bebo lies on the floor and plays with their new hamster.
