🎵 Song Lyrics

I wake up everyday and spend every hour
Flying all around and finding flowers
All of us bees have one thing in common
We love to collect nectar and pollen

I'm a grade a pollinator
Honey creator

I'm a busy bumblebee busy busy bumblebee
Everybody look at me i'm making honey
Buzzin' here buzzin' there buzzin' through the summer air
Everybody look at me i'm making honey

I spread my pollen to flowers all around
To help plants grow all over town
I only sting things that want to hurt me
I'll protect my queen and my colony

I'm a grade a pollinator
And honey creator

I'm a busy bumblebee busy busy bumblebee
Everybody look at me i'm making honey
Buzzin' here buzzin' there buzzin' through the summer air
I'm a busy bumblebee i'm making honey

Everybody now
Buzz buzz buzz buzz buzz buzz
Buzz buzz buzz buzz buzz buzz
Buzz buzz buzz buzz buzz buzz
Buzz buzz buzz buzz buzz buzz

I'm a busy bumblebee busy busy bumblebee
Everybody look at me i'm making honey
Buzzin' here buzzin' there buzzin' through the summer air
I'm a busy bumblebee i'm making honey

About This Song

The penguins are outside on a sunny summer day, playing among the flowers and watching little bees fly from bloom to bloom. While the penguins enjoy the garden, the bees stay busy collecting nectar and pollen.

I'm A Busy Bumblebee connects that constant movement with the flowers growing around town. The story also includes the queen and colony, giving the busy day a purpose beyond visiting the next bloom.

The repeated “busy busy bumblebee” and “buzz buzz buzz” parts keep the song moving. There is plenty of room to dance, pretend to fly, and join in with buzzing sounds between the verses.

Bring the Flower Garden Inside

Draw a few flowers together and place them around the room. While the song plays, pretend to be bees moving from one flower to another. Pause beside each drawing before flying on to the next.

After the music ends, talk about what the penguins watched and what the bees collected. Your child can choose which flowers belong in the pretend garden and where the bees will visit next.
