Let's Fly A Rocket

Leigha Marina Nursery Rhymes and Kids Songs, Vol. 18 • Track 7 • Album released August 1, 2026

Let's Fly A Rocket by Leigha Marina is an energetic, educational space adventure that takes young listeners on a journey through the solar system. Boarding a spaceship alongside Bebo the penguin and his crew of penguin astronauts, children blast off to explore the planets, bounce around in low gravity on the Moon, take in stunning views of Earth, and head past the red planet Mars while learning why the hot sun is one place they can only admire from a safe distance.

🎵 Song Lyrics

Let's fly a rocket to the moon
Zooming through space we'll be there soon
On the moon there's so much to see and do
On the moon we'll jump and float
Cause' up there gravity is low
I can see the earth that is home sweet home

Three Two One blastoff

Let's fly a rocket to mars
We'll search for life near and far
Up on mars we're closer to the stars
Up on mars it's really cold
There might have been water long ago
It's called the red planet don't you know

Three Two One blastoff

Let's fly a rocket to the sun
But if we get too close it won't be fun
The sun is the center of our solar system
The sun is really really hot
Can't be walked on by astronauts
But it gives us energy it gives a lot

Three Two One blastoff

About This Song

Bebo and his penguin astronaut friends board a rocket for a space adventure. Each countdown sends them toward a new destination, starting with the Moon, then Mars, and finally the Sun.

On the Moon, they jump and float while looking back at Earth, their home sweet home. The Mars verse turns the adventure into a search, with questions about life and water long ago. At the Sun, the story changes again. This is not a place for the penguins to land and play.

Let's Fly A Rocket connects its three stops with the repeated “Three Two One blastoff.” That countdown gives children a familiar part to join before finding out where the rocket will go next.

Your Own Pretend Rocket Trip

Turn a chair or cardboard box into a pretend spaceship. Count down together, then lift your arms as the rocket takes off. At the Moon, pretend to move with slow, floating steps.

After listening, ask your child to name the three places in the song. Which stop would they choose for a pretend adventure? Finish by bringing the rocket back to Earth and welcoming the penguin crew home.
