🎵 Song Lyrics

Little penguin in the snow
Told a lie oh no no
Said he saw a fish that flew
But his friends knew the truth

Little penguin told a lie
Told a lie a second time
Said he saw a shark on skates
But his friends knew it was fake

Little penguin don't you see
Telling the truth will make you free
Telling lies will make you sad
But honesty will make you glad

Little penguin found a place
For everyone to swim and play
Told his friends to come quick
But they thought it was a fib

Little penguin in the snow
Sliding down the ice alone
This would be a lot more fun
If he didn't lie to everyone

Little penguin don't you see
Telling the truth will make you free
Telling lies will make you sad
But honesty will make you glad

Little penguin spoke aloud
I'm sorry friends I let you down
They smiled and hugged him tight
Said we forgive you it's alright

Little penguin don't you see
Telling the truth will make you free
Telling lies will make you sad
But honesty will make you glad

About This Song

Little Penguin Tells a Lie is a fun and catchy learning song about Bebo the penguin and what happens when he does not tell the truth. Out in the snow, Bebo tells Mia and Nora that he saw a fish flying high in the sky. But Mia and Nora know fish cannot fly, so they know it is not true.

Then Bebo tells a lie a second time. He says he saw a purple shark zooming by on roller skates. Mia and Nora do not believe him, because they know this story is fake too.

Later, Bebo finds a great new pond where everyone can swim and play. He runs to tell his friends to come quick, but they think it is just another fib. So Bebo slides down the ice all alone, feeling sad. It would be a lot more fun if he had not lied to everyone.

Bebo stands in front of Mia and Nora and says he is sorry for letting them down. His friends smile, hug him tight and tell him that they forgive him and it is alright. Then Bebo, Mia and Nora splash and swim together in the icy blue pond.
