🎵 Song Lyrics

Here comes the penguin king
Get ready the game's about to begin

Penguin says cause he's our king
Do what he says, that pleases him
Oh yes indeed
The winter king

You must only obey obey
When you hear penguin says he says
And if he skips that phrase
Stay still or lose the game oh no

Kk let the game begin and may the sharpest one win
One two three go

Penguin says touch your head
Penguin says touch your head
Penguin says shake your hands
Penguin says shake your hands
Penguin says march in place
Everybody jump in place

Ohhhhhh did you lose
No mistakes stay wide awake
Now let's start this game again

Penguin says touch your nose
Penguin says touch your nose
Penguin says sit on the floor
Penguin says touch your toes
Penguin says touch your toes
Everybody strike a pose

Ohhhhhh did you lose
No mistakes stay wide awake

Penguin says jump jump jump
Penguin says make a smile
Penguin says belly tap
Penguin says now sit down

Penguin says make a bow make a bow
Penguin says clap clap clap clap clap clap
Penguin says turn around
Everybody scream out loud ahhh oh oh

One last chance to wow the king
Pay attention and just don't miss

Penguin says make an animal sound
Penguin says shout your name out loud
Everybody touch the ground
Did you lose
Just tell the truth

Uhmm i'm gonna share mine
If that's alright with you
I'm no king just a penguin
Hehehe

About This Song

Bebo wears a crown and becomes the pretend penguin king inside an ice castle. His friends gather for a game with one important rule: move only when the directions begin with “Penguin says.”

Penguin Says mixes actions to follow with tricks to catch the players out. Touching your head and marching in place are part of the game, but “Everybody jump in place” leaves out the words everyone is waiting for. Each round brings another chance to listen before moving.

The challenges grow sillier with animal sounds, belly taps, and names shouted out loud. At the end, Bebo admits that he is no king, just a penguin. The crown and castle are all part of playing pretend with his friends.

Play Along With Bebo

Make enough room to move, then follow the directions together. When an instruction skips “Penguin says,” try to stay still, even if the action sounds fun.

After the song, take turns leading your own round. Mix simple movements with funny poses or animal sounds. If someone moves too soon, share a laugh and start again, just as the song does.
