Rainy Day

Leigha Marina Nursery Rhymes and Kids Songs, Vol. 11 • Track 3 • Album released April 11, 2025

Rainy Day by Leigha Marina is a cozy, comforting nursery rhyme about finding joy while staying indoors during a rainstorm. As the little penguins look out the window and long to splash in puddles, ride bikes, and play catch outside, the gentle melody encourages them to enjoy creative indoor play until the rain stops and a bright new day arrives.

Hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm
Hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm

It's been a long while now tell me
Can I go outside to play just maybe
Jump in the puddles splish splash
Ride my bike or play catch

Rainy day oh rainy day

Stay inside on a rainy day
Play inside on this rainy day
Oh stay inside on a rainy day
Play inside on this rainy day

So many raindrops falling
How do I stop the rain from falling
Tomorrow will be a new day baby
But for now the moon will guide you honey

Rainy day oh rainy day

Stay inside on a rainy day
Play inside on this rainy day
Oh stay inside on a rainy day
Play inside on this rainy day

It's been a long while now tell me
Can I go outside to play just maybe
Jump in the puddles splish splash
Ride my bike or play catch

Rainy day oh rainy day

Stay inside on this rainy day
Play inside on this rainy day
Oh stay inside on a rainy day
Play inside on this rainy day

Hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm
Hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm
Hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm
Hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm

About This Song

Rainy Day is a calm and cozy song about Bebo the penguin and his friends waiting for the rain to stop. Raindrops fall on the big wooden house in the forest, and a puddle grows on the path outside. Bebo and Okee open the window and look out at the wet trees. It has been a long while, and they wonder if they can go outside to play.

They dream about all the fun waiting for them. In their dream, they wear colorful rain hats and jump in the puddles at the playground, splish splash. They ride their bikes along a forest trail with Makaio, Nora and Mia, splashing through the wet grass. Okee and Bebo even float little paper boats on a puddle by the house.

But so many raindrops keep falling, and no one can make the rain stop. So the friends stay inside and play together in their bright playroom. Makaio, Mia, Nora and Okee toss a basketball back and forth and play catch.

As night falls, the moon glows over the house while the rain keeps falling. The windows shine warm and yellow as the little penguins get ready for bed. Tomorrow will be a new day, and for now the moon guides them gently to sleep.
