Playtime Nursery Rhyme

Scary Spider

Leigha Marina Nursery Rhymes and Kids Songs, Vol. 10 • Track 5 • Album released January 22, 2025

Scary Spider by Leigha Marina is a silly and playful song that helps children feel less afraid of spiders. A little purple spider keeps popping up in the backyard, the kitchen, the bedroom and the playroom, scaring Bebo the penguin and his friends. Bebo, Okee and Makaio grab bug nets and chase the spider from room to room, but it keeps running away. The spider is not scary at all. It just wants to play hide and seek.

🎵 Song Lyrics

Creepy crawlies
Scary spidies
In the backyard
In the kitchen
Catch it trap it

Hairy scary
Please don't bite me no
I'm not scared
In my bedroom
Slowly dangle over my head

They play hide and seek now
Run away then take another peek
They play hide and seek now
Run away then take another peek

I'm not scared
I'm not scared
I'm not scared

Creepy crawlies
Scary spidies
Under my bed
Creeping slowly
Catch it trap it

Hairy scary
Please don't bite me
I'm not scared
Pointy legs running across the floor
Catch it trap it

They play hide and seek now
Run away then take another peek
They play hide and seek now
Run away then take another peek

Creepy crawlies
Scary spidies I'm
Not scared
In the backyard
In the kitchen
No I'm not scared

Hairy scary
Please don't bite me
I'm not scared
In my bedroom
Slowly dangle over my head

They play hide and seek now
Run away then take another peek
They play hide and seek now
Run away then take another peek

I'm not scared
I'm not scared
I'm not scared
I'm not scared
I'm not scared
I'm not scared
I'm not scared

About This Song

Scary Spider is a silly and playful song about Bebo the penguin, his friends and a little purple spider who keeps popping up all around the house. Out in the backyard, the hairy spider hangs from a tree, and Bebo, Nora and Mia huddle close together, a little scared of the creepy crawly.

Soon the spider sneaks into the kitchen and peeks out from the top cabinets. In the bedroom, it slowly dangles down over Mia's bed while she hides under the striped blanket. Mia hopes the spider will not bite her.

In the playroom, the spider runs across the floor on its pointy legs, right past Okee and Makaio. Bebo hides inside a green play tent, but the spider drops down right next to him. Bebo grabs a bug net to catch it, and Okee and Makaio grab nets too.

The three little penguins chase the spider from room to room, trying to catch it and trap it. But every time they get close, the spider runs away and takes another peek. It hides under the bed, behind the door and next to the tent. The spider is not scary at all. It just wants to play hide and seek. Nora and Mia spot it in the bedroom, and the game keeps going.
