🎵 Song Lyrics

Sweet child of mine
Sleep in my arms
Sweet child of mine
Sleep in my arms

You close your eyes
I'll hold you tight
I'll be right here
All your life

Sweet child of mine
Sleep in my arms
Sweet child of mine
Sleep in my arms

You close your eyes
I'll hold you tight
I'll be right here
All your life

Sweet child of mine
Sleep in my arms
Sweet child of mine
Sleep in my arms

You close your eyes
I'll hold you tight
I'll be right here
All your life
I'll be right here
All your life

About This Song

Sweet Child of Mine is a soft and gentle bedtime lullaby about Mommy Penguin rocking Bebo the penguin to sleep on a quiet winter night. Snow covers the roof of their little log cabin, and warm light glows from the upstairs window, where Mommy Penguin is getting Bebo ready for bed.

Outside, snowflakes drift slowly down from the dark blue sky. Mommy Penguin stands on a snowy hill under the night sky, holding Bebo in her arms. She gently rocks and sways him from side to side, and asks her sweet child to sleep in her arms.

Big, shiny snowflakes float all around them, and she keeps Bebo warm and safe. She tells him to close his eyes, and she promises to hold him tight and to be right there for him all his life.

Glowing stars fill the sky behind them as Bebo snuggles into Mommy Penguin's hug. He rests his head on her, and his eyes grow heavy as he drifts off to sleep.
