About This Song

Opposites by Leigha Marina is an upbeat sing-along that introduces children to contrasting words through music and playful penguin animation. Bebo and his friends explore eight pairs: open and shut, big and small, fast and slow, up and down, old and young, hot and cold, heavy and light, and happy and sad.

The video gives the words clear examples, including a door shown open and shut, a large elephant beside a small mouse, and Bebo alongside an older penguin. These comparisons connect the lyrics to actions and characters rather than presenting the words on their own.

Each pair is repeated before the song returns to its “O o o” opposites chorus, giving children chances to join in as they hear the words again. With contrasts covering size, speed, direction, age, temperature, weight, and feelings, the song turns everyday differences into a lively musical lesson.
